Dracula’s Comedy Coffin

Dracula’s Comedy Coffin is made of wood and stands upright at about

16.” This prop will be the cornerstone of your best Halloween show

ever! I have used mine for over 15 years and it always “kills!” Your

audience will “die” will laughter! Your competition will be “spooked”!

No one else will have a “ghost” of a chance! Both you and your

audience will LOVE Dracula’s Comedy Coffin! (cough-cough).

Here’s a “skeleton” of the routine: While spooky music plays, tell your

audience about your recent trip to Transylvania, where you picked up

a souvenir…Dracula’s Coffin. Well, the Lunch Box version of it!

Describe the “curse” of Dracula’s Coffin; whoever opens the lid,

receives the “curse of Dracula’s Coffin.” While you say this, you

accidentally open and close the lid! Oh no! Now you’ve got the curse!

Well, since you’re already cursed you open the lid and look inside. You

find the stake that killed Dracula! And then you pull out a raw plastic

piece of steak! He died from eating under-cooked meat! Also inside,

an 18” picture of Dracula’s side-kick, Jack O’ Lantern, aka Super

Pumpkin (see picture silks below)! But the silk picture only shows a

regular pumpkin. Halloween can’t happen without Super Pumpkin!

Who else is gonna deliver all of the candy to the houses to giveaway??

You’ll need help to magically turn him into the real Super Pumpkin! So

you call upon your two Halloween assistants, Frank and Harry. But

they won’t come, they won’t appear…they’re on their Monster union

break! So, two young volunteer will have to play them. You bring to

kids “on stage” with you and put each one in an oversize Halloween

mask (not supplied), one of Frankenstein and one of King Kong! The

little kids look hilarious wearing these two huge masks! Handing one a

Breakaway Wand (see below) and the other the “steak,” you bring out

your trusty Change Bag and magically try and change Jack O’ Lantern

to Super Pumpkin! But it doesn’t work, he turns into a pumpkin pie!

Finally, the pumpkin silk vanishes and you’re left with NOTHING!

Suddenly, you “hear” noises from Dracula’s Coffin! You sneak over to

listen…POW! It starts rattling and shaking all on it’s own! The CURSE

has begun! You run for cover and hide behind the two little monster

helpers! Finally, the noise and shaking ceases. You cross to the coffin

and pick it up. You refuse to open it, as now Dracula’s really mad at

you! But, at the audience’s insistence, you slowly open the

lid…ARGHHHH! AHHHHH! Suddenly, two big Spring Snakes jump out

scaring you and everyone “to death!” But, tied between the Snakes is

a completed 18” silk picture of Super Pumpkin! You did it! Halloween

can happen as planned! Thunderous applause ensues! Your helpers are

HEROES! You are a Halloween Star!
